Till January 8: Art exhibition, line drawings and installations by Natesh Muthusamy who will be exhibiting around 30 drawings and a photo installation of his paintings (at DakshinaChitra).
December 18-26: Festival of Orissa. Prahlad Natak – Folk Theatre, Odissi by Aruna Mohanty, Gotipua from Raghurajpur, films on Orissa, Mayurbhanj Chhau dance performances, palm leaf engraving, Pattachitra tribal jewellery, silver filigree, textiles, Dhokra casting and stone craft (at DakshinaChitra).
December 26: A lecture on the Sarasvati Mahal Library, Thanjavur, by Pradeep Chakravarthy. The illustrated lecture will acquaint the viewer with some of the texts and their content (at Kalakshetra Prayer Hall, 10 a.m.)
December 27-31: Marghazhi Festival featuring Mayillattam folk performances (at DakshinaChitra).
December 29-January 19: Aham Annam, Aham Annam – an exhibition on food by Madras Crafts Foundation Arts Management students. The exhibition explores the history of food in India and focusses on special facts about Indian concepts of food, food and health, and food and rituals (at DakshinaChitra).
