October 30: Zinx plays con­temprorary world fusion music, basically integrating the East and the West. The band plays various genres of music – from jazz to blues to funk to classical to even folk. Zinx comprises Anirudh, Kishor and Vivek. (At Alliance Francaise.)

October 30: Pradeep Chakra­­varthy repeats his favourite walk till date! A tour of the Dhenu­pureeswara temple in Madam­bakkam (off Vela­­chery Main Road, between Pallikaranai and Tambaram). The temple is not only rich in inscriptions that are related to the functioning of a Chola bureaucracy but has some stunning and very rare Vijaya­nagar sculptures, many that cannot be seen elsewhere!
