February 27-March 10: Group show by Sunil Kumar, Naveen Kumar, Baburaj from Kerala (at DakshinaChitra).
March 6: Jugend Jazzorchester Rheinland-Pfalz. The 17 young jazz musicians of the Phonenix Foundation will present a wide repertoire of Jazz, Rock and Pop music. They will play arrangements from the band giants like Count Basie, Gordon Goodwin and Peter Herbolzheimer, chart-hits, movie themes and original compositions by band members. They will also play a set of Indo-Jazz Fusion, in which they will be joined by special guests, vocalist R.A. Ramamani and percussionist Ramesh Shotham. The Phoenix Foundation will also perform original compositions by Ramamani, Ramesh Shotham and Irish bassist and composer Ronan Guilfoyle. Well-known trumpeter and jazz educator Frank Reichert will conduct the band. Passes will be available at Goethe-Institut from February 26th (at Music Academy, 7.30 p.m.).
