Till December 20: Jean-Francois Lesage – embroidery exhibition. Lesage creates embroideries inspired by Gerard Garouste’s design done especially for the event in Chennai. The theme of the design is “une carte imaginaire,” an occasion to associate art and handicraft. The creations will be auctioned and the profits will be given to charity. Garouste is one of the most important and internationally renowned
French painters (at Apparao Galleries).

Till December 31: Recent Sculptures by G. Reghu (at Gallery Sumukha).

December 19-27: Festival of Gujarat. The festival will bring together the rich and diverse traditions of Gujarat through its performing arts, crafts, cuisine and textiles (at Dakshina Chitra) For details: 98414 23149.

December 21-24, 28-30: Traditional Indian Games introduced in a workshop titled Playart. Children will play the games and listen to the associated trivia, stories, and the cultural and environmental variations (at Forum Art Gallery, 10.30 a.m. – 1.00 p.m.).

December 21-24, 28-30: Christmas Workshop: In this workshop, children will use their creativity to create Christmas decorations, ornaments for the tree, gift boxes, New Year calendars and other exciting, functional crafts (2.30 p.m. – 5.00 p.m.).

Till January 9: The Pink Cocoon, paintings and installations by C.P. Krishnapriya (at the Forum Art Gallery).
