December 9-12: Workshop on coastal biodiversity restoration, an inter-collegiate training programme, organised by the Department of Zoology and Marine Studies & Coastal Resource Management Programme of Madras Christian College, Tambaram. Based on several successful ecotechnologies developed by Prof. P.J. Sanjeeva Raj, former Head of the Department, and his teams during the last 50 years, the programme aims at training students, local fisherfolk and NGOs to disseminate these ecotechnologies to other degrading wetlands in India.
