College Road has recently been in the news. In this column, let us see what are the vestiges of the old College building itself. The Madras Journal of Literature and Science in its issues of the 1850s gives us a line drawing of the building. That is our OLD. The next pic is of a surviving building on the campus, which seems to be one wing of the old College House. And we of course have the intriguing gate by the Cooum. Sadly, we have no definitive information on the buildings that actually comprised the College.
