Our OLD, but photographed a year ago by your deputy editor, is of the Saidapet suburban railway station. Leaving aside the garish colours, it is still a handsome structure, not dominating the landscape.
Our Not So New is of the MRTS at Indira Nagar, ugly in the extreme, huge and purposeless. Our NEW, is of the Metro station near the High Court where thanks to INTACH it is a low structure again, not hiding the heritage behind it. By and large, CMRL has scored on this count and may it maintain the record.
